White sinkRenaSo far I live the sink. I wanted something small and not so deep for my laundry room and this was it.
Nice sinkMarikaPurchased for our laundry room. It is a very nice looking porcelain sink and has a space saving design without sacrificing function.
Great smaller sink! Perfect for our guest apt!Anonymous reviewerI have never tried dropping a dish on this (haha), but it seems like any porcelain sink I have bought, looks great!
Can crack with a falling plateAnonymousI bought an earlier version of this sink and 2 years later I have a stress fracture. You have to jump through hoops to try and get the warranty and even then I will be left needing a new counter, backsplash and plumbing service costs. The customer service rep immediately asked me if I dropped a plate in the sink because it can easily crack with the drop of a plate, her words. Shocking that someone would sell a product that easily cracks. I would not recommend IKEA KITCHEN FURNISHINGS for this reason, they do not hold up and IKEA doesn't keep replacements in stock very long (2 years), spend the extra money up front on quality and skip anything IKEA KITCHEN.
Material
What are ceramics?
Ceramic is a heat-resistant and durable material that has been used by humans to make practical objects for thousands of years. The base material is different types of clay that are oven-burned and become things like terracotta, stoneware, pottery and porcelain. At IKEA we mainly use ceramic for plant pots, porcelain, washbasins and kitchen sinks. Since it can be shaped and even glazed to the desired color and shine, the possibilities of styles and looks are endless.
