Making the Centurist Sideboard

Add a dash of color with this throwback modernist design. The subtle partial arch curves present on the top of the right hand facing sliding door and 5 pull out drawers are signatures of the designs introduced by Arne Vodder in the late 50’s and early 60’s. The middle of the century modernism was at its peak. It was a time when color was beginning to be mixed into furniture designs in concert with natural wood surfaces. The Centurist sideboard is an exceptional example of this coordination. Centurist features two left hand facing sliding drawers which conceal a large storage space for dishes, media or whatever you wish to classically conceal. The body of Centurist is perched on top of a 4 legged modernism solid wood base. 5 colorful rail glide center drawers and 1 right hand facing walnut door complete the design.

The original designer, Arne Vodder is widely recognized as one of the great designers of the modernist movement. Over the years his classic modern designs touched all aspects of furniture from the office to the bedroom. His works with wood gained worldwide recognition for their modern timeless designs. Vodder's signature is a combination of solid color formica surfaces and natural wood surfaces in his most noted modernism designs.

About American Walnut

The American Ash species is widely admired for its vibrant light, airy color tone and intriquing graining. The natural untouched wood presents lighter and mid tones within the various grains, something not acheivable when applying topical stain. American Ash is a premium species which has been used in modern and heirloom furniture pieces for centuries. Ash coordintates well with other colors and is used with other wood species of varying tones.

A team of 2 rigorously screened home delivery professionals arrive on a day and time prescheduled with you. Your furnishings are brought into your home and placed in the desired location in the room(s) of your choice. The furniture is removed from the packaging/boxes. The old packaging material is then placed in a designated location.

Perhaps you need door(s) removed and replaced? Maybe you live in a condo or high rise building? Maybe there are flight(s) of stairs to climb? The safe arrival of your items is guaranteed and no obstacle is too large. We will do anything necessary to complete your delivery with quality, care and a smile. Average delivery times are 9-12 business days from the day your order leaves the Kardiel warehouse.

Curbside Residential Delivery

This economical delivery option brings your new furnishings direct to your home or business. The term curbside indicates that the items are brought to the "curb" but not inside the home.

This is a signed delivery option which means you will need to be present to accept the delivery. You will need to be prepared to carry the items into your home or office as this service does not include inside delivery. Tracking numbers are provided within 24 hours of your order leaving the Kardiel warehouse. Average delivery times nationwide for this service are 7-10 business days from the day the shipment leaves the Kardiel warehouse. The delivery is guaranteed safe when you inspect and sign with the driver for any potential shipping damage. The delivery company calls to schedule the delivery date and window of time as the arrival date of your items draws closer.

Hawaii & Alaska

Hawaii & Alaska orders allow average 12-18 business days for arrival. Tracking numbers will be provided. Alaska and Hawaii orders are not eligible for advertised "continental U.S" shipping promotions. As over water transport is involved, the shopping cart will not calculate
