Set of Two Mid Century Modern Wishbone Chairs in Natural Ash

The Wishbone Chair offers a light and sculptural design, contrasting the heavier styles popular in the 1950s. Hans Jorgensen Wegner was a notable Danish designer recognized for his high-quality work, which helped popularize mid-century Danish design internationally. Known for Organic Functionality, his modernist approach focused on functionality. Scandinavian countries primarily inspired this movement with contributions from Poul Henningsen, Alvar Aalto, and Arne Jacobsen. Wegner's career spanned over the creation of 500 chairs, more than 100 of which entered mass production, becoming iconic designs. The 'Hoop Chair,' a notable piece originally designed in 1965, went into wood-only production in 1985.
