The Executive Side Chair was originally designed in the 1930s by Eero Saarinen, who won the MoMA-sponsored 1940 Organic Design in Home Furnishings competition with his range of organically-shaped plywood chairs. This led to the creation of a chair that would provide exceptional comfort. Saarinen went on to create further innovative designs.
