Charles Sofa provides a cozy place to unwind, reflecting Antonio Citterio's innovative approach to the Charles system, which has become a seminal part of interior design, enjoying success since 1997. Charles consists of an array of elements catering to a variety of furnishing needs, focusing on individual comfort levels. Featuring a frame crafted from naturally rot-resistant Merbau wood, it is free from chemical treatments. The cushions comprise high-resilience foam with a feather-down wrap, offering medium firmness with customization options. Upholstery choices include Classic Suede, Top Grain, and Aniline Leather (C.O.M available). It is supported by brushed finish stainless steel legs, and all materials are non-toxic and fire-resistant. Additional arrangements are available upon request. Antonio Citterio, born in 1950, developed his first furniture item in his father’s workshop and won his first design accolade by 18. At 22, he opened a design studio while studying architecture at Milan Polytechnic. Together with Patricia Viel, he founded an architecture and interior design firm in 2000, working with leading global brands and designing luxury hotels and office spaces worldwide.
