- Contemporary Tulip Table designs allow for small liberties with the original concept. A great way to achieve this is by experimenting with materials. The Dark Walnut Wood Tulip Dining Table in round form is a refined take on the original Saarinen table with a slight twist. Its dark wood veneer offers both quality and durability. The table-top is finished with a special chip-resistant treatment, making it suitable for various interior styles, from rustic to contemporary. Easy assembly and a distinctive design distinguish the Dark Walnut Wood Tulip Dining Table in round format.

- Finnish-American Eero Saarinen (1910-1961) adapted his style to meet project demands. His father taught at the Cranbrook Academy of Art, where Eero took classes and built relationships with fellow student Florence Knoll. Saarinen studied sculpture in Paris and later at the Yale School of Architecture, completing his studies in 1934. He joined the US Military and was tasked with illustrating bomb disassembly manuals and designing the Situation Room in the White House. He established his own office in 1950 after his father's death. His first major success, the "Tulip Chair," was produced by Knoll, marking the beginning of a long collaboration between Knoll and Saarinen. While still working for his father, he won the design competition for the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial in St. Louis, also known as the Gateway Arch.
