The artisans used a limited color palette, simple designs, and large Turkish-style knots to complete rugs quickly before moving on. Colors are mainly earthy tones paired with vibrant reds. The thick yarn allows for larger motifs, minimizing intricate details. This hand-knotted rug, crafted from fine hand-spun wool, underwent a special wash to replicate the sought-after sheen of antique Oushak rugs. A rug pad is suggested to maintain its position.
