| Timber |

These mantel shelves are handmade from solid oak timber which showcases wonderful natural characteristics and features that can only be found in real solid wood.

The natural features can include splits, cracks, knots, waney edges, shakes, bows and twists, which not only add beautiful character but also make each and every shelf truly unique and one of a kind.

As oak sleepers are an air-dried timber, these features, in particular the cracks, will continue to move and open up until the oak is in perfect equilibrium with its new environment.

Placing the timber above a heat source such as a fire or log burner can result in more dramatic movement, in particular cracks opening up larger, and twists in the timber. If you intend to use this item above a heat source, please ensure to introduce the product to the heat gradually over time, and read the log burner manufacturer’s guide lines on safe distances to hang wooden mantels above.

| Wax Finish |

To highlight the features even more we add a wax finish to the shelf. The wax adds a stunning colour to the timber and is very durable and easy to maintain in the future. The colours we have available are:

Alternatively we have an unwaxed option if you would prefer to add your own finish:

• Natural Oak

| Fixings |

These shelves are very easy to fit to the wall with the fixings provided and keyhole brackets already installed into the back of the shelf. Each order also comes with fitting instructions and we have instruction videos available on our YouTube Channel:

This fitting method is very versatile and suitable for fixing to all wall types. Please note that specialist fixings may be required for wall types alternative to solid walls. The shelves may not be suitable for weaker walls due to the weight.

| Delivery |

We require 7 working days to manufacture these shelves then they will be packed and sent on a 24 hour courier service to UK mainland.

Other areas in the UK, such as highlands, isles and Northern Ireland, as well as international addresses may take 1-3 days extra in transit, depending on location.

It is important that you open the package as soon as it arrives to allow the wood to breathe and to prevent build-up of moisture.
