1970s Platner Coffee Table, Model 3714T by Warren Platner for Knoll in Glass with Nickel Chrome Steel Base

This is a Platner Coffee Table, model 3714T, initially designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1966. This particular example dates to the 1970s. The design features a nickel-plated steel base, and has a tempered glass top. The base is constructed of vertical steel rods that are welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods. It is truly a work of art in and of itself.

This table measures 36 inches in diameter and is 15.25 inches high. The base shows some patina from age, and the glass top is clean and has no chips to its beveled edge. Overall, this original Platner table is in very good condition. Please see photos.
