A sublime "Bastiano" lounge chair designed by Tobia Scarpa for Gavina in the 1960s. This example was made in the 1970s.  Scarpa designed these chairs "to provide seating that was sophisticated and elegant, yet casual and comfortable." This chair has undergone a full restoration: The frame has been beautifully refinished to bring back the natural beauty of the mahogany. The cushions have been redone in sumptuous feather down for enhanced comfort. They have also been reupholstered in a stunning chocolate brown designer mohair and natural canvas. This chair is the perfect blend of stunning visual form and superior coziness. It is ready to be placed in a high end interior.  Dimensions: 35.5"W x 31.5"D x 27.5"H Seat Height: 14.5" Condition Notes: Excellent vintage condition. New feather dow cushions and upholstery. Frame has been refinished. Some very light imperfections to the wood frame.
