1970s Warren Platner for Knoll Steel Coffee Table, Model 3714T
This is a Platner Coffee Table, model 3714T, originally designed by Warren Platner for Knoll in 1966. This particular example dates to the 1970s. The design features a nickel-chromed steel base and has a substantial ¬Ω inch thick glass top. The base is constructed of vertical steel rods welded to circular horizontal and edge-framing rods. It is truly a work of art in itself.
The table measures 42 inches in diameter and 15.25 inches high. The base of this piece is patinated and oxidized. The buyer may request further restoration or powder coating if so desired. The glass top is clean and in nice condition. Overall, this table is in good vintage condition with some signs of age apparent. Please see photos.
