This series was inspired by the huge old clip art books found in archive rooms at newspapers. Years ago, photos and illustrations were edited and air brushed by hand, advertisements were composed, editorial written and the whole pages of the newspapers laid out and waxed onto a dummy page to give a prototype of the final form. The books were no longer needed with the dawn of desktop publishing.
