All HolzWald animals are made from locally sourced wood of the highest quality, each animal is hand cut, edges hand rounded and finely sanded so they are softest wooden toys for little hands to touch.  They are painted with natural dyes and polished than hand oiled one by one.  Each toy is simple enough to inspire imaginative play, but accurate enough to be realistic.  Only FSC-certified wood of the highest quality is used. The edges are rounded and finely sanded in several work steps so that they are pleasant and soft to the touch. Finally, they are painted with natural colours and polished with high-quality oil.

 In 1997 Merab Kuchukhidze and his friend Niko Tsilik founded a small workshop in Tbilisi and began to produce simple but appealing wooden toys with only a few works, as recommended in Waldorf education. The toys are characterized by clear, simple shapes and careful workmanship.
Together with the successors, we have further developed the design and expanded the range. We have taken over the overall distribution of the manufactory and are developing the HolzWald brand worldwide.
