Warren Platner Coffee Table

The table design debuted in 1966 and features welded curved steel rods attached to a circular frame. The table has an open bottom and a round glass top.   Warren Platner was active as an architect and designer at Warren Platner Associates in Connecticut from 1965 until his death in 2006. His quintessentially Modernist designs, of which this coffee table is an example, were created when Platner worked alongside Eero Saarinen and Kevin Roche in the mid-1960s.   Measurements: 37” W x 0.25” H x 37” D (glass top); 26” W x 14.75” H x 26” D (metal base); 37” W x 15” H x 37” D (assembled).
