Mahogany Curtain File Cabinet from Maison Standard, United States, 1930s

Vintage Design Curtain file produced by American Standard. This storage unit made entirely of solid mahogany has a horizontal slatted curtain, with a straight wooden handle, opening from the bottom to the top and not the other way around like the majority of filing cabinets. This curtain is equipped with an original central hook lock with chiseled brass pellet entry. The interior offers twelve flap lockers with brass buttons and label holders The lower part also includes a larger flap allowing access to a larger niche. The sides are dark with a recessed panel. This piece of furniture is an attractive and charismatic way to organize your documents.
