Brass And Alabaster Chandelier Circa 1940

Brass and Alabaster Chandelier circa 1940 with ten lights, an antique Italian Art Deco chandelier with a circular structure, a beautiful brass casting, eight lights on curved arms and eight dome-shaped uprights, decorated with plant motifs and bunches of grapes, holding a large white alabaster bowl in warm tones, enclosed within a frame with zoomorphic motifs and relief beading. The hook at the top is also made of two cast brass figures.Inside the bowl, two further lights can be switched on twice. It works with ten E27 bulbs and is wired for a maximum power of 1500 watts.The chandelier comes from a private villa in Milan. It has been entirely disassembled, the brass structure has been cleaned of oxidation, polished, and treated with varnish to preserve the metal from future oxidation. It has been wired from scratch to turn on the eight arm lights separately or together with the two lights inside the alabaster bowl to create a warm illumination, creating a cosy atmosphere.
