Schiuma EVA con EPDM 60, a pori fini, a celle chiuse La gomma cellulare è fondamentalmente una schiuma a celle chiuse in gomma naturale o sintetica, impermeabile all'acqua e all'aria. È caratterizzato da una resistenza alla trazione relativamente elevata, elasticità e un buon comportamento a freddo. L'EVA (etilene vinilacetato) è un copolimero prodotto a base di PE e si caratterizza per la sua morbidezza e flessibilità. La gomma sintetica EPDM (gomma etilene-propilene-diene) è molto resistente all'invecchiamento, all'ozono e al calore ed è ampiamente insensibile agli agenti chimici.
