Handmade End-grain Cutting Board, Solid Maple, 2-1/4-inch Thick, Heavy Duty

Thick 2 1/4-inch End-Grain Butcher Block style cutting board made from solid Maple. End-grain cutting boards basically "heal" themselves after cutting because the grain is on its end (facing upward) so you're not cutting through the grain with general use. That's why end-grain cutting boards look like new for so long! Special care was taken on the placement of each piece of wood, so the grain creates a lovely "checkerboard" pattern across the top. We've rounded all edges for a smooth appearance and have added rubber feet, securely screwed into the bottom to make this piece easier to lift and move around your kitchen. Maintaining your cutting board is as easy as wiping with butcher block conditioner/oil whenever it starts to look a little dry.  This piece is very heavy duty and will rival any of the other big names on the market. The width is slightly narrower than many store-made sizes (while not sacrificing length), making this great for apartments or smaller spaces where you want a little counter space around the board when in use.
