8' Antique Store Counter, Showcase, Display Cabinet or Workstation
A late 19th / early 20th century industrial general store display case work or shop counter, having a 17" deep single board plank top behind the 10" deep display case that can function as a work surface. The counter sits over a rectangular base cabinet. The large display shelf case in the front has 2 large sliding glass doors and adjustable brackets for glass shelves. The 17" plank top work surface is 34" high, a perfect height to be used with a stool so one can sit comfortably for work and still be able to see the store and engage with customers. The work portion of the counter sits over a long open slot for wrapping paper or other needs, eleven spacious drawers with original drawer pulls, one large cubby hole on the left and a large pull out bin on the right. The base is surround by stone on 3 sides. The unit has a warm, rustic, nicely aged patina. The white wheels under the unit are a pair dollies that the counter is sitting on, not part of the counter.
