A beautiful and rare c. 1940s Tank armchair, restored in a pale green Knoll Textiles fabric. We love the wood patina. The Armchair 400 or "Tank Chair" is one of Alvar Aalto's best known works. The sculptural cantilever design showcases the beauty of bent plywood. The Tank chair is one of the most comfortable and beautiful chairs of mid-century design with the wide, deep seat and cantilevered arms. A favorite of the Forsyth design team.
