Saarinen Collection – High oval coffee table

The furniture by Saarinen for Knoll, which includes the famous and revolutionary Tulip collection of 1957, is considered among the greatest post-war design icons. In his approach to architecture and furniture design, Eero Saarinen combines the essential with impressive solutions. In his collection of furniture with “goblet” legs, which includes low and dining tables, he achieves his ideal of formal unity. The round and oval tables and coffee tables for the outdoor collection have an aluminium base with a white or black Rilsan protective finish and a top made of acrylic stone, a solid material consisting of aluminium hydroxide, acrylic resin and natural pigments.
