Wilderness Log Clear Futon Frame Loveseat
The Wilderness log futon frame, like the Northern Exposure log futon, is a true northern lodge design that adds a rustic touch to a functional piece of log furniture. This particular log futon is skip peeled, which means a little bit of cambium or bark is still on the log, giving it a more rustic or natural log look. The knots on the logs are pronounced or sticking out, which are called character knots. Constructed out of Norway pine, each log has to be hand selected to be just the right diameter and have the right character. The Wilderness log futon arms are six-inch diameter logs assembled together using mortise and tenon construction to get a true log sofa look. It is a great addition to any room. Because of the skip peeled logs, it is recommended to finish the Wilderness log futon with a clear finish. If the honey pine finish is applied, the skip peeled effect is lost. The back and seat sections of the Wilderness log futon frame are screwed and glued together, not stapled, which allows us to put a lifetime warranty on this frame.
