Titus Groan, Gormenghast & Titus Alone by Mervyn Peake, published by Eyre and Spottiswood in 1971, are second printings of the UK re-issue edition. This trilogy, Peake's masterpiece, stands as one of the great romances from the 1940s. Peake, an accomplished illustrator, initially wrote nonsense verse before creating this epic saga in response to World War Two horrors he witnessed as a War Artist. Highly recommended, the hardcover editions come with very good, unclipped jackets.
