Vintage William Morris Bullerswood Carpet Cloth Napkin

This particular work is an 1889 design called Bullerswood Carpet and was designed by William Morris an English textile designer, poet novelist, translator, and social activist who lived from 1834 to 1896. Morris was a major contributor to the revival of traditional British textile arts and methods of production. Much of his work can be found in art galleries and museums and his designs are still in production. Although best known in his lifetime as a poet, Morris is recognized as one of the most significant cultural figures of Victorian Britain.
