Pompeii Fluted Pedestal Table by Athena Calderone

Like a time-worn column seen among the ruins of ancient Rome or Greece, our striking pedestal table lures the eye with its rustic yet timeless profile. Made of plaster-like material, the white table stacks three imperfectly textured and differently fluted sections. Though cast as one solid piece, the table appears as if its segments might tumble at any moment, enhancing the trompe l'oeil effect. Alone or topped with a pot of trailing ivy or stack of books, the pedestal table adds vertical interest to a room corner or hallway. Designed by Athena Calderone, this piece is cast from poly-resin and fiberglass and features felt pads on the bottom to protect floors.
