It belongs to the malvaceae family. Its scientific name is abelmoschus maschatus medik. It is also known as musk mallow. It has a warm and flowery aroma. Ambrette seed oil has a pale yellow with a distinct brandy and wine odor. This absolute oil is sometimes used in coffee. It is mostly used in cosmetics and perfumery industry as an ingredient.
