Petal Lamp - Silver - 18.9"
Poul Henningsen's Artichoke Lamp is a spherical, plant-like form that exemplifies his commitment to functionalism and natural living. Created in 1958, the PH Lamp was designed to diffuse the harsh light of electric interior lamps. Originally commissioned for Copenhagen's Langeline Pavilion Restaurant, these lamps are still in use today. The design merges modern and classic elements, making it versatile for any decor. This contemporary chandelier is a detailed, hand-crafted reproduction of the original Artichoke pendant lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen, the first 'lighting architect.' The lamp features a 23.62-inch diameter with 12 arches and 11 rows of laser-cut leaves. The first four rows increase in size, while the remaining seven rows maintain a consistent size. The 66 leaves unfold into the classic artichoke form, capturing and softly diffusing light. Each leaf is offset to provide an indirect glow, making this lamp a unique lighting solution.
