Plywood Lounge Chair & Ottoman, Espresso Genuine Leather/ Palisander

$695.00

The Eames lounge chair and ottoman made its debut in 1956, designed by Charles and Ray Eames. It was assigned the numeric names 670 for the lounge and 671 for the ottoman. That year, it gained widespread attention on a popular TV show, now known as the Today Show. Since then, the chair has appeared in various TV shows and movies, including Chandler and Joey's apartment in Friends and Tony Stark's apartment in Iron Man in 2010. In 2011, it was featured in Royal Pains and Tron with Cream White Aniline Leather. Loved for its timeless design, the chair continues to be produced due to its style and exceptional comfort. While retailing for about $4,200 or more in the US, the price is significantly higher in Europe, costing around $9,000 for the classic version. Its allure not only comes from comfort, but also from the focus on usability in its design. Original Eames Chair Ottomans can be viewed in New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
