Plywood Lounge Chair & Ottoman, Luxe Camel Genuine Leather/ Walnut

In 1956, Charles and Ray Eames unveiled the lounge chair and ottoman, designated numerically as 670 for the chair and 671 for the ottoman. The set gained prominence on television that year on the Arlene Francis Home Show, now known as the Today Show. Since then, it has appeared in many TV shows and films, including Friends and Iron Man. The Eames Lounge Chair appeals to fans of classic design for its timeless style and comfort. It has been in continuous production since its introduction, which is rare for designer furniture. In the US, prices start around $4,200, with higher prices in Europe for top-grain aniline leather versions, such as the Palisander/black leather model, costing roughly $9,000. The chair's allure partly stems from its usability focus, as seen in examples showcased at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
