Charles and Eero Saarinen first designed this chair using a unique plywood molding process before World War II. Their LCW chair was entered into the 1940 Museum of Modern Arts 'Organic Furniture Competition' and won, although production was delayed by the war. Our reproduction maintains the comfortable posture and familiar form, reminding one of classic school furniture but more comfortable. Available in leather or 'cow hide,' it cleverly uses space and has a modernist design with a 'Western style' twist.
