The same great colors are included in both formats and work perfectly when paired together, with individual balls providing the yardage for bigger creations and the sets providing small amounts of any accent colors you may need. Animation is made with mercerized cotton, which means the cotton has been treated to have a smoother surface, allowing it to take in more dye and have a slight sheen while retaining strength. Although it's a DK-weight yarn and can be used at an average DK gauge for other projects, Animation really comes alive when you drop down 3-4 hook or needle sizes to create playful amigurumi.
