1970s Brutalist Etched Steel Coffee Table - Possibly Heinz Lilienthal

Fabulous coffee table, perfect for the exacting Client who wants something no one else has! Brutalist, substantial and 1970's era. I believe it to be made by Heinz Lilienthal as it's a very substantial and unique piece and came from a Manhattan estate, the Owner of which had excellent and expensive taste.

Heinz Lilienthal, born April 25, 1927 in East Prussia; was one of the pioneering German glass painters for church building in the post-war years. He also designed wall decorations in metal, wood and concrete, furnished ships for the Greek shipowners Aristoteles Onassis and Stavros Niarchos and finally became a successful designer of table furniture. His innovative metal smelting work brought him recognition at home and abroad.

It's much more striking that my photos may suggest as I'm not a very good photographer. Let me know if you would like any other photos of it from me, happy to supply more.
