The 'Basculant Chair' is based on the 18th Century wooden version, which was originally foldable and used on picnics in the Colonial days. The inspired chair is a study in beauty, form, and function. Like the original, this quality reproduction uses materials such as a 3 mm thick Stainless steel frame, 3 mm thick pure Saddle leather, and high strength load-bearing seat platform cross straps, designed to exceed the structure demands of long term daily use.

In 1928, the Sling Chair design was conceived by stripping away all preconceived notions of what an occasional chair should be.
