LC2 chair, Pure White Leather
In 1928, Le Corbusier designed this modernist chair series for Paris' Maison La Roche. It reimagined the traditional club chair. The LC2 Petit is the smaller, more compact version. At the time, efficient apartment layouts were crucial in Paris. Notably, the LC2's design includes a distinct top seat cushion. It offers great comfort in a compact form factor, often termed 'cushion baskets' by Corbusier. Another notable feature is its metal frame that extends from the base to the legs. This design is appealing from all angles, making it suitable for central room placement. In small spaces, such adaptability is highly advantageous. The LC2 comes in 1, 2, and 3 seat options, differing only in length. Frequently, two single chairs are paired with a double or triple sofa.
