Tulip Armchair, Red Wool

Designed in 1955 by Eero Saarinen, the Tulip Chair pairs well with the Tulip Table. It received several design awards, including from the Design Center Stuggart in 1962 and the Museum of Modern Art in 1969. Known for its futuristic design, it gained popularity on the Star Trek show from 1966 to 1969. Originally made of fiberglass, many chairs are still used today despite current reproductions being made of ABS plastic. Plastic chairs tend to break under stress over time.
