Pomegranates (Rimonim in Hebrew) are a symbol of prosperity in many cultures and in Judaism it represents the 613 commandments of the Torah. Pomegranate is one of the symbols of Rosh Hashana and there it represents prosperity and the wishes to be filled with the deeds of the Torah in the coming year. Pomegranates grow naturally on the mountains of Jerusalem, the Galilee, and the Golan. The pomegranates are one of the seven species the Land of Israel was blessed with, and it is mentioned in the bible several times. This Pomegranate was made with love in my studio! It was made with high fire white clay, and it was fired twice in the kiln to reach these glazes. These vivid colors will last forever as it is high fire glazes. The pomegranate has my signature on the bottom of the piece. This Pomegranate will be a great centerpiece for Rosh Hashana, a housewarming gift, wedding gift, or an art piece to beautify any space. The pomegranate is hollow and can be used to hold honey sticks or some flowers.
