Mies Mid Century Modern Chaise

Created for the 1927 Weissenhof exhibit, the Cantilever Arm Chaise showcases a design that remains timeless. It features individually tufted pillow tubes forming a comfortable cushion, illustrating classic mid-century modern style.

Mies Icon Creation

Inspired by European metal rockers of the 1800s, the Cantilever chair uses stainless steel bent tubing. Although the use of bent tubing wasn't original to Mies, Marcel Breuer's influence is visible in its tubular frame. The cushion consists of foam and Dacron-filled tubular pillows.

Pure Top Grain Aniline Leather was chosen for upholstery. Heavy-duty straps affixed to stainless steel frames reinforce its top-tier construction. Kardiel’s reproduction is a nod to one of the most comfortable modern chaise lounges.
