Eleanor Mid-Century Modern Armchair

Making the Icon

Sleek rectangular shapes are represented in the design of both the seat and frame. Perhaps not so common with mid-century modern pieces, Eleanor successfully combines both comfortable seating with exceptional aesthetics. A constant well-tailored appearance is owed to the snug fitted back design.

For ease of maintenance, button tufting is not present on the seat cushion. A single row of button tufting graces the back. A gently cushioned frame and matching piping at the seams accentuate the minimalist lines. The wooden aspect of the legs creates a sense of grounding. The stiletto design of the legs lifts Eleanor from the floor, providing the spacious mid-century modern feel.

ABOUT GENUINE TOP GRAIN ANILINE LEATHER

A small percent of the world’s leather supply is of high enough quality for 100% Top Grain Aniline upholstered furniture. Aniline Dyeing is the process of soaking the hides in transparent aniline, which allows color to absorb into the natural hide. Top Grain Aniline leather is then topical stain protected to minimize liquid absorption during everyday use but does not require imitation grain stamping methods, which imprint a Faux grain over the majority of the leather surface. Without all the synthetic topical coatings, it breathes naturally making it comfortable for seating. It is soft, supple, durable and pliable, maintaining the characteristics of pure leather.
