Dating back to the 18th century, the chesterfield was once the mark of class and stature. Today, it's symbolic of great style. Inspired by this iconic British design, our Barrow Sofa features a button-tufted back with a low, cushioned seat; rolled arms; hand-applied, brass nailhead trim; and the characteristic equal-height arms and back. Frame is kiln dried to remove moisture, guarding against warping and cracking. Heat-tempered, double-coil steel springs are eight-way hand-tied, keeping springs from shifting and establishing long-term support. Joints are double-doweled and corner-blocked for extra stability. High-density foam cushions wrapped with feathers and down for maximum comfort. 84 and 96 sofas include 2 seat cushions; 108 version includes 3 seat cushions. Velvet naturally ages over time, resulting in light marks or bruising that add to its character and sheen. Performance fabric resists stains and repels water and oils, ensuring easy cleaning. Leather is a natural material, retaining character marks and subtle shade variations; no two pieces are exactly alike. Performance leather is treated to reduce scratching, fading, staining and color variation. On leather option, velvet decking and cushion underside allow air to flow from the cushion through the decking. Hand-applied brass nailhead trim accents on the roll of the arm and along the front rail. Button-tufted back. Turned feet with an espresso finish.
