Copenhagen 26" Fabric Armchair, Walnut/Urban Hemp
Constructed with mid-century modern style, this armchair features vintage tailored twill fabric composed of 60% linen, 20% cotton, and 20% nylon. Seams are hand-sewn using a Danish lock-stitch, and the frame uses solid American walnut timbers. It has a full-width, affixed solid back and a reinforced seat platform for lasting support, with multi-density foam cushions wrapped in Dacron for comfort. Dimensions are 26.6" width, 29.9" depth, and 32.7" height, with a seat height from floor of 16.6" and seat dimensions of 23" width and 21" depth. Crafted by hand with a removable zippered seat cushion, solid wooden frame, and varnished undercarriage. The American Walnut splayed legs have floor protectors, and the wood is kiln-dried to stabilize moisture. Sanded in three steps and finished with three coats of UV-cured polyurethane. Comes in one box, approximately 47 lbs, with a Kardiel 3 Year Limited Warranty. Originally designed in 1945 by Finn Juhl, the Copenhagen '45 is iconic for its free-flowing and airy design. This reproduction maintains the solid walnut frame and intricate details with attention to Juhl's original vision, ensuring comfort and visual intrigue.
