Copenhagen 26" Armchair, Urban Ink/Walnut
Copenhagen '45 Mid-Century Modern Chair paid tribute to iconic mid-century design. It features a free flowing and elegant concept developed by Danish designer Finn Juhl in 1945. Kardiel's rendition highlights solid American Ash timbers and durable twill upholstery, maintaining the original's intricate design detail. Finn Juhl introduced the 45 chair, diverging from usual armchair designs by separating the seat and back from the frame. This product remains faithful to the original with its American Ash timber frame, offering a floating visual aspect. Comfort is ensured through the foam-wrapped structure and multi-density seat cushion. The chair's subtly curved back cradles the user, created with arched, rounded timbers. Natural American Ash is utilized for the frame, finished with walnut stain and polyurethane. Reproducing this piece requires attention to numerous crucial details for authentic design success. Vintage Tailored Twill fabric, with its interwoven knit, boasts a refined pattern discernable up close, offering a textured look. Tailored twill fabric has a tighter weave, showcasing a layered texture through its multi-tone strands. Product features include a mid-century modern style with dacron-wrapped foam cushions. Kiln-dried American Ash is sanded thrice and finished with UV-cured polyurethane. A reinforced cushion platform provides lasting support, while seams are hand-sewn with a Danish under-tuck lock-stitch. The frame is solid ash wood, covered in vintage twill made of linen, cotton, and nylon. Design elements include a full-width back, splayed legs, and protective caps. Dimensions are 32.67" height, 29.92" depth, 26.57" width, and seat height of 16.63". The chair is hand-stitched and crafted with a three-year limited warranty.
