Elektra Mid-Century Modern Loveseat
Kardiel's reproduction of this mid-century classic offers plush, overstuffed cushions to sink into. The original metal Sinuous no sag 'S Coil' system in high density foam supports the seat. Reversible fabric backs and seats add versatility. Stiletto legs narrow at the floor, with rear legs angling back slightly.
Elektra’s curves and low, sleek arm contribute style and comfort. Thin arms angle slightly forward before gently rolling back and down. A solid hardwood frame handcrafted with metal and dowel joinery ensures durability.
Making the icon
First produced in 1958, Elektra retains period-correct mid-century elegance. Faithfully reproduced design includes stiletto legs, sloped arms, and a real wood undercarriage. Arms are rounded in true mid-century style, with a gently angled back for comfort. Removable, reversible cushions with zippers and one row of buttons complete the authentic look.
Whether central to a room or against a wall, its curved wood undercarriage enhances the handcrafted design. Mid-century modern flair legs provide authentic suspension for Elektra. The leg's outward angle is characteristic of its 1950s heritage.
