Like the original, the classic cube design of the Kardiel reproduction of the Mogensen 2213 features individually zippered back cushions that weigh in at whopping 5 lbs each and are filled with 100% down feathers encased in a soft silk form fitting pouch. The signature side cushions are 100% dense formed foam designed to hold consistent shape as the years pass. The seat cushions feature a heavy multi density foam core topped with a plush quilted down pocket top layer. This premium feature combines soft to initial touch with a heavy, densely comfortable deeper seating experience.

Recreating the 1962 mid century modern icon

Børge Mogensen created the original 2213 for his own home in Gentofte Denmark in 1962. This premium quality reproduction of the 2213 Sofa features solid stained ash legs. The handcrafted hardwood frame is graciously lined with dense fitted polyurethane foam before being upholstered. The series feels solid to the touch. The upholstery consists of Premium Plush Velvet. This premium fabric is the highest quality available and breathes naturally dissipating heat for comfortable extended seating. All seams and piping are hand-stitched. About Plush Velvet Premium

Velvet in general is a soft pile fabric that has been woven since the beginning of the middle ages. It is soft to the touch with a distinctive nap. It is woven on a loom unique to velvet fabrics. Often used on modern furniture where a clean appearance is desired, Micro-velvet is a form of a standard velvet fabric. The micro-velvet variety is considered a lower maintenance fabric. It features a low nap which reduces the light and dark variation of a traditional crushed velvet. The fabric is durable, forms well with curve & tufting work. It features a warm appearance and a soft to the touch surface. Velvet as a term refers to the fabric style not the fabric content. Velvets are made from a variety of fabric types.

The best value for those looking for a full service delivery experience with no lifting or physical effort involved. A team of 2 rigorously screened home delivery professionals arrive on a day and time prescheduled with you. Your furnishings are brought into your home and placed in the desired location in the room(s) of your choice. The furniture is removed from the packaging/boxes. The old packaging material is then placed in a designated location.

Perhaps you need door(s) removed and replaced? Maybe you live in a condo or high rise building? Maybe there are flight(s) of stairs to climb? The safe arrival of your items is guaranteed and no obstacle is too large. We will do anything necessary to complete your delivery with quality, care and a smile. Average delivery times are 9-12 business days from the day your order leaves the Kardiel warehouse.

Curbside Residential Delivery

This economical delivery option brings your new furnishings direct to your home or business. The term curbside indicates that the items are brought to the "curb" but not inside the home.

This is a signed delivery option which means you will need to be present to accept the delivery. You will need to be prepared to carry the items into your home or office as this service does not include inside delivery. Tracking numbers are provided within 24 hours of your order leaving the Kardiel warehouse. Average delivery times nationwide for this service are 7-10 business days from the day the shipment leaves the Kardiel warehouse. The delivery is guaranteed safe when you inspect and sign with the driver for any potential shipping damage. The delivery company calls to schedule the delivery date and window of time as the arrival date of your items draws closer.

Hawaii & Alaska

Hawaii & Alaska orders allow average 12-18 business days for arrival. Tracking numbers will be provided. Alaska and Hawaii orders are not eligible for advertised "continental U.S" shipping promotions. As over water transport is involved, the shopping cart will not calculate
