Monroe Mid-Century Modern Fabric Chair
Introducing a premium reproduction of the 1962 Børge Mogensen #2211 in premium fabric upholstery. Like the original, the classic cube design of the Kardiel reproduction of the Mogensen 2211 features individually zippered back cushion that weighs in at whopping 5 lbs and side cushions weigh-in 6 lbs are filled with 100% down feathers encased in a soft silk form-fitting pouch. The signature side cushions are 100% dense formed foam designed to hold the consistent shape as the year's pass. The seat cushions feature a heavy multi-density foam core topped with a plush quilted down the pocket top layer. This premium feature combines soft to initial touch with a heavy, densely comfortable deeper seating experience.
Recreating the 1962 mid-century modern icon
Børge Mogensen created the original 2211 for his own home in Gentofte Denmark in 1962. This premium quality reproduction of the 2211 armchair features solid stained ash legs. The handcrafted hardwood frame is graciously lined with dense fitted polyurethane foam before being upholstered. The series feels solid to the touch. The upholstery consists of Plush Velvet Premium. This premium fabric is the highest quality available and breathes naturally dissipating heat for comfortable extended seating. All seams and piping are hand-stitched. The seat platform is reinforced using a genuine no sag metal Sinuous Spring system.

ABOUT PLUSH VELVET PREMIUM
Velvet, in general, is a soft pile fabric that has been woven since the beginning of the middle ages. It is soft to the touch with a distinctive nap. It is woven on a loom unique to velvet fabrics.
