Classic 1970's Sofa
Originally launched in 1969 by Italian designers Tobia and Afra Scarpa for the Cologne Furniture Trade Show, the Soriana was designed to encapsulate a bundle of fabric with a metal frame. This unique design remains popular among designers and architects for both personal and project use. The original collection included a lounge chair, medium and large sofas, and a chaise lounge with ottoman.
Soriana's Revival
The Soriana collection aimed to combine beauty and comfort with fabric held by a chrome-plated steel clamp. Kardiel's reproduction uses black powder-coated metal for a modern touch. The Soriana Chair, the first piece in the collection, won the Compasso D'Oro in 1969. It suits both eclectic Hollywood Regency and monochromatic minimalist interiors.
About Indigenous Boucle
