70’s MCM ITALIAN REPRODUCTION
Mario, It’s more than a bit of Instagram fodder. Originally designed by Mario Bellini in 72’, the original version still sits in the living rooms of a large swath of tastemakers. Our reproduction of the Camaleonda sofa is beautiful, bulbous and draped in voluptuous boucle fabric. With its distinct MCM styling, we think it’s the perfect material selection for use on a classic 70’s reproduction.
SEATING LANDSCAPE
Mario has no set shape: the piece is morpheus, consisting of shifting sections. The backs and armrests are outfitted with rings and carabiners. Remove and reposition them to create a conversation pit or the seating landscape of the moment. The original 70’s design was only in production for 5 years. As the design preference pendulum swings from minimalism to an embrace of maximalism, this stand-out design is once again getting it’s time in the living room.
ABOUT INDIGENOUS BOUCLE
Come home to this runway-worthy, extremely durable boucle fabric of incredible drape & natural feel. At 590 Grams per square meter, the Indigenous boucle is a delightfully curly fabric with beautiful variation in texture. Despite boucle being a fully woven loop fabric, from a distance, it might be mistaken for a loop and cut pile combo. Indigenous boucle has jaw-dropping texture and a comfortably soft surface.
