12700K-770 — Planner 5D

The Arc A770 is an interesting GPU because it's the highest end model in the first generation of modern discrete GPUs from Intel. Even if there are issues with it now, I thought it would be interesting to build a computer with the GPU and see how things change over time as Intel spends more time improving the drivers. Everything else was fairly standard. The choice of the i7-12700k was partially because the features offered by using an Intel CPU with integrated graphics and an Intel Arc GPU.

My next upgrade for this system will likely be an Intel 14th gen CPU or an AMD 8000 series CPU, depending on how they shakeout.

On this computer I mainly play Battlefield 2042, NCAA14 via PS3 emulation and Modern Warfare 2, which was bundled with the Arc A770.

Favorite Feature: My favorite part of this build is the Arc A770. The reference card is a very good-looking card, and as previously mentioned, I thought it would be interesting to have one of the first modern GPUs produced by Intel.
