Italian Upholstered Chairs With Tubular Metal, Italy ca 1970s
Throughout the 20th century, Italian design managed to distinguish itself. The 1970s were a boom time in Italy especially, a decade of mass production and innovation that signalled the end of the post-war rebuilding programme. These upholstered chairs feature a large upholstered body with a structure in chromed tubular metal and wood, ruching on the sides and tufted buttons on the front and back of the back rests. They have been recently reupholstered in a premium brown velour fabric and are in good vintage condition, wear consistent with age and use. Origin: Italy. Period: 1950-1979. Materials: Fabric, Metal.
