Bauhaus Style Ivory Tubular Chrome & Leather Sofa by Mücke & Melder, 1930s

This is a bauhaus style sofa with a chrome tubular steel frame. It was manufactured by Mücke-Melder in the 1930s. The chrome tubular steel is in perfect original condition. The sofa has been newly upholstered with high quality ivory leather. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no official proof of authenticity; however it is well documented in design history. (Condition: Good — shows signs of age such as scuffs, dings, faded finishes and minimal upholstery defects.)
