The back frame includes horizontal slats, and the arms are constructed in a boxy style. Additionally, the sofa has a wide-set bottom frame for an elevated seating appearance. The teak used is plantation-grown, European-grade teak from FSC-certified upcycled wood, sourced from old-growth forests in the Indonesian archipelago. The wood undergoes a six-week kiln drying process to remove moisture, preventing shrinkage or expansion due to temperature and humidity changes. Teak is naturally resistant to water, insects, mold, and mildew, making it one of the most durable materials available. This sofa combines machine precision with handmade traditional Mortise and Tenon construction for smooth and tight joinery, showcasing local artisans' craftsmanship. Cushions are made from 100% solution-dyed acrylic Sunbrella fabric, which is UV, fade, mold, mildew, spill, and stain-resistant.
